Preparing for a movie audition of your child

Is your child born to perform? Does your child want to do an audition for a movie? In interviews with big stars they always tell you how they started very early in their lives with acting; they always knew they wanted to be on the big screen… So, does experience matter for your child to be successful at a movie audition?

How does it work, a movie audition for your child?

Officially, no. They are young, so who can expect experience at that age. However, a little experience might give your child just this little extra at the audition to selected for the movie. Television commercials are very nice of course, but if you dont live near New York or Los Angeles, there are plenty ways to get your child the experience for its movie auditions. Think about student films of the near by college, music videos, even from local bands. Think about it, ask around, be creative, your child will definitely benefit.

Preparation is the name of the game, to get your child in any audition, fashion or movie. Know what you can expect at an audition, know where to find talent agencies (the ones not charging you any upfront fees!), have great photos from your child available, and most of all, have a lot of fun, parent and child!
